The decrease in temperature encourages citizens to more actively use heating means to heat their homes: electric heaters, stoves, gas appliances and more. At the same time, in the autumn-winter period, the statistics of fires in the housing sector increases many times, which is often caused by people ignoring the rules of fire safety. The consequences of such negligence can be very tragic.

Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine carry out daily work on the survey of the country's territory, detection, seizure and disposure of explosive objects from the times of past wars. In the past 24 hours alone, on October 19, 42 on-site visits were made, during which there were identified 111 munitions.

During the recent week (from October 12 to October 18) the units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine performed interventions to prevent emergencies, ensured rapid response to accidents and consequence relief, fire-fighting, and other rescue activities.
