An Algorithm of Interaction has been signed between the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the Red Cross Society of Ukraine
On January 20, Acting Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Serhii Kruk and Director General of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine Maksym Dotsenko signed an Algorithm of Interaction between the Rescue Service and the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.
The parties certified that both services have a common mission, and the developed Algorithm will help to determine the order of interaction and information exchange between the SESU and the Ukrainian Red Cross during emergencies, fires or dangerous events, as well as preventive measures, exercises and training.
Serhii Kruk drawn attention to the long-term cooperation between rescuers and workers and volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, and Maksym Dotsenko noted that the Algorithm of Interaction will also help to determine the role and place of the Ukrainian Red Cross in civil protection and emergency response.
The SESU, as the main partner, is being interested in giving the Ukrainian Red Cross Society the opportunity to strengthen its response capabilities and show how effective the services can be together.
Therefore, according to the Algorithm the SESU can involve the Ukrainian Red Cross in emergency response, fires and other dangerous events, arranging life support of rescuers and the affected population, providing emotional support and home care to the affected population, as well as public awareness activity on security rules, joint exercises, meetings, round tables, etc.
