On behalf of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the Memorandum was signed by Acting Head of the SES Andriy Danyk, and on behalf of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to Ukraine Felix Baumann.

According to Andriy Danyk, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has repeatedly received necessary assistance from Swiss partners: "We highly value our friendly relations with the people of Switzerland, and today's meeting is yet another evidence of the international community's strong and resolute support for Ukraine."

The signing of the Memorandum will significantly improve the material and technical equipment of the SES units, as well as provide new opportunities for training and improving the level of training of Ukrainian rescuers. According to the Acting Head, this will strengthen the ability to respond effectively to wartime challenges.

"This Memorandum will be an important step towards strengthening the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Switzerland and will bring closer the time when we can move from saving lives to rebuilding the destroyed," emphasized Andriy Danyk.
