On the final day of the intensive training of Ukrainian rescuers, an honorary ceremony of awarding certificates and the handing over of search and rescue dogs, vehicles, equipment and generators by the French side took place.
The event was attended by canine specialists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and their French partners. In particular, the deputy director for international affairs, resources and strategies of the Sécurité civile, Mr. Stephan THEBAULT.
During the ceremony, Oleksandr Pachkovskyi, deputy head of the Interregional Rapid Response Center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, noted:
"Literally every day during the seminar, we felt real support from our partners. Today we received 5 Malinois Belgian shepherds, a specialized car with a trailer and small mechanization equipment.
Such targeted humanitarian aid undoubtedly enables our search and rescue unit to autonomously perform its assigned tasks. We are sincerely grateful to our partners for their support."
